We'll turn your boys into whalers and your daughters into wenches during this Fall's story hours. Each Saturday from 10 am to noon we will learn about 19th century whaling.

  • We will start off our adventure by reading aloud a chapter of Moby Dick.
  • Everyone will learn whaling skills: harpoon throwing, cutting up whale blubber, and puking over the railing.
  • Afterwards the girls will serve refreshments of hardtack, alt pork and pints of ale.
  • On the last day, we will celebrate returning to port with an afternoon of drinking and wenching.
