Privacy and Public Records Policy

Kansas Revised Code Section 149.43 provides that all public records shall be promptly prepared and made available for inspection to any person at all reasonable business hours.

All requests to review records must try to follow these procedures:

  1. Private individuals asking for public records must speak privately with the director of this public library to see these public records privately.
  2. Public individuals asking for private records must speak publicly with the director of this library to see these private records publicly.
  3. Private individuals asking for private records must speak privately with the director of this library to see these private records privately.
  4. Public individuals asking for public records must speak publicly with the director of this public library to see these public records publicly.
  5. And vice versa.
